“Open Your Heart” has been chosen after shown on February, 15 2003 on TV of the national final contest, where for the right to represent Iceland competed fifteen songs. “Open Your Heart” became the outright winner, having collected twice more points than the song which has occupied the second place, and four times more, than the song which has occupied the third place. In fourth time Iceland is represented on Eurovision Song Contest by a song, which text is written in English.
